1. What
is stamped concrete?
Stamped
concrete is regular concrete that is poured to the standard required
depth, with color pigments added. While it is still wet, special stamping
tools are used to impress patterns and texture to the surface. The result
is a beautiful durable surface with the look of expensive brick, stone
or slate. Once the surface is cured and cleaned, it is then coated with
an acrylic sealer.

2. Will
stamped concrete crack?
Stamped
concrete is susceptible to cracking just like other concrete. However,
there are procedures to be taken that can minimize the risk of cracking.
Proper sub-base preparation, placement of approved moisture barrier,
using high quality redi-mixed concrete, fiberglass strands added to
the concrete mixture and expansion joints or saw cuts placed at least
every 15 feet help minimize cracking.
3. Will
the color fade?
The color
pigment that is either added at the concrete plant, or worked into the
surface of the concrete, is a synthetic metal oxide pigment. This is
the same type of colorant used in bricks, which do not noticeably fade
for many years.
4. How
long will stamped concrete last?
